Mage of the Dark Arts

Sviktan is a character created for a drawing challenge. She is a teacher of the dark arts in a school of magic.

I wanted to show the character while she is making some invocation with a forbidden book.

Process

Using a Daz model for the pose, but only as a reference.

I was not sure of the staff look at this point so I did some rough sketches.

Rought sketch of the character.

Adding a background and flat colours.

I was not happy with the first Necronomicon magic symbol on the book cover, so I redesigned it all, adding runes. There is a true meaning in it, but I can't tell you, it would open the doors of things we can't control !

Detailling the clothes

Finally refining the book, the staff and adding the magic effects.

Something with tentacles is showing up in the orb of the staff, and it is not a good news !
